Javier Morones is a passionate and dedicated health educator at HOW Mobile Food Pantry.

Born and raised in Clear City, Ceasar Suarte is employed part-time as a van driver for HOW Mobile Food Pantry and is also a dedicated HOW volunteer.

Isaac is a dedicated graduate student volunteer at HOW Mobile Food Pantry, bringing a passion for social justice and hunger relief to the forefront.

Having recently relocated to Clear City, Mila is a dedicated volunteer sharing her passion for cooking healthy meals.

Reener's Story
Reener's journey in addressing food insecurity began during their undergraduate years, where they actively volunteered at local food banks and witnessed firsthand the transformative power of providing nutritious food to those in need. Reener served in various leadership roles within nonprofit organizations focused on community development and food justice. They earned a Master's degree in Social Work, specializing in community organizing and program management, which provided a solid foundation for driving systemic change.
Reener's leadership style is characterized by compassion, resilience, and collaboration. They believe in empowering their team and volunteers to be agents of change, nurturing an environment that values inclusivity, diversity, and continuous learning. With a knack for strategic thinking and a results-driven approach, Reener spearheads innovative initiatives to expand the mobile food pantry's impact and reach.
One of Reener's core strengths lies in building strong community partnerships. They recognize the power of collaboration and actively cultivate relationships with local farmers, businesses, social service agencies, and government entities to maximize resources and create sustainable solutions to food insecurity.
Driven by an unwavering belief in the dignity of every individual, Reener is deeply committed to fostering a holistic approach to food access. Under their guidance, a program originally called "Harvest on Wheels Mobile Food Pantry" has been expanded and renamed to "Health on Wheels" to reflect that this program provides not only nutritious food but also offers education on healthy eating, budget-friendly meal planning, and advocacy for long-term systemic change.
Reener's dedication extends beyond their role as Director. They are an avid public speaker, engaging in community forums and conferences to raise awareness about food insecurity, advocate for policy changes, and inspire others to join the fight against hunger.

With a background in community development and a strong commitment to social justice, Sasha brings a wealth of experience to her role. Prior to joining HOW, she worked extensively in nonprofit organizations focused on poverty alleviation and community empowerment. As Program Coordinator, she coordinates and manages the logistics of mobile food pantry distributions, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from start to finish. Her ability to coordinate with volunteers, community partners, and other stakeholders allows for a seamless delivery of services.

As a health educator, Javier designs and implements educational programs and workshops that focus on nutrition, cooking skills, and overall wellness. Ceasar's Story
Born and raised in Clear City, Ceasar Suarte was a warehouse forklift operator and then a bus driver for the school district until retirement. Although he is only employed part-time as a van driver for HOW Mobile Food Pantry, he is also a dedicated HOW volunteer. It isn't unusual to see him arrive 3 hours early to load the van before his driving shift begins! His commitment to his community, driving experience, and bilingualism make him an irreplicable member of the HOW team.

Isaac's Story
Raised in Clear City since age five, Isaac only became aware of the cyclical food insecurity of many Southside residents during visits home during college. Isaac began volunteering at HOW during semester breaks and returned to Clear City after graduation, committed to making a difference. He is currently pursuing an online Master's degree in Public Health with a specialization in community development. This academic pursuit aligns perfectly with his volunteer work at the mobile food pantry. Isaac's deep understanding of the systemic issues surrounding food insecurity fuels his commitment to creating sustainable solutions.
As a graduate student volunteer, Isaac takes on various responsibilities within the mobile food pantry program. From conducting needs assessments and analyzing data to evaluating program outcomes, he contributes to the ongoing improvement and effectiveness of HOW's initiatives.

Mila's Story
Mila Badawi is a local chef and dedicated volunteer with the Health on Wheels (HOW) Mobile Food Pantry. After graduating from culinary school, Mila chose to relocate to Clear City, drawn by its thriving hospitality industry and vibrant food scene. She now works in one of the city’s bustling hotel kitchens, where she brings creativity and care to every dish she prepares.
Outside of her professional work, Mila devotes her time and culinary skills to the Health on Wheels program, helping to combat food insecurity in underserved neighborhoods. As a chef, she understands the importance of not just feeding people, but nourishing them—with food that is both nutritious and dignified.
Mila prepares meal kits for distribution, leads cooking demos focused on affordable, healthy eating, and connects with residents to learn about their food preferences and cultural traditions. Her volunteer work is rooted in her belief that food is a powerful vehicle for connection, healing, and equity.
Motivated by her own experiences growing up in a food-insecure household, Mila brings empathy, professionalism, and passion to the HOW team. She is a bridge between the hospitality world and grassroots food justice efforts—helping to ensure that everyone in Clear City has access to wholesome, culturally relevant meals.

With a background in customer service and a natural inclination towards helping others, she found her calling in volunteering at the mobile food pantry.
As a full-time volunteer, Cindy plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the mobile food pantry. Whether it's assisting with food distribution, organizing inventory, or engaging with community members, she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels welcome and supported.
Cindy's friendly and empathetic nature creates a welcoming environment for individuals and families accessing the mobile food pantry. She understands the importance of treating each person with dignity and respect, offering a listening ear, and providing a sense of hope during challenging times.
